AOS was a major supplier of lubricant products to the military in both World Wars and a pioneer in the development of turbine and hydraulic lubricants based on synthetic esters for aircraft, naval vessels and NASA. AOS developed the FIRST non-silicone thermal grease. Our focus is thermal grease and making it user-friendly. Founded in 1997, CJB Industries is your independent supplier of choice for chemical manufacturing services, formulating, processing, filling and packaging liquids and solids for the global chemical industry. We operate 3 manufacturing facilities located in Valdosta, Georgia. CJB’s focus on safety, quality, reliability, and ease of doing business is the cornerstone of lasting relationships across the chemical industry. CJB holds certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FIFRA. CJB is also a member of SOCMA and participates in the ChemStewards program.

Capital Resin is a family owned company established in 1976 based in Columbus, Ohio.  We have our own line of products including thermoset resins, sulfonic acids, biocides, plasticizers, and a 100 million-pound annual capacity formaldehyde plant.  In addition, we toll manufacturer for a variety of large and small companies for usage across a wide swath of industries, centered on agriculture, paints/coatings, rubber, and adhesives.  CRC does internal and contract R&D and possesses the ability to scale-up from glass, to pilot, to commercial with reactors ranging from 10 gallons to 5000 gallons in stainless steel, alloy and glass lined.  Although our core business is chemical synthesis, we also have dryers (tray, fluidized bed, rotary vacuum) and will blend, disperse and emulsify as needed.  We are ISO9001, UL and NSF certified and follow the guidelines of ChemStewards® as members of SOCMA. 

Crews Chemicals was founded in 1990. The core business is centered in the pulp and paper industry, specifically providing industrial cleaning chemicals and cleaning services to keep machinery running smoothly and improve the quality of finished goods.

Today, Crews Chemicals remains true to our roots in the pulp and paper industry while also providing chemicals for wastewater treatment, oil and gas, and other industrial applications. We have service crews based in Georgia, Louisiana, and Michigan to provide turnkey industrial cleaning services.

Equinox Chemicals was established in 2003 in Albany, Georgia USA originally as a toll manufacturer of various chemicals used in the Pharma and Flavor industry. Since that time Equinox Chemicals has expanded its workforce and capabilities to service various markets and products in the United States and abroad. We have grown from a small chemical toll manufacturing facility to one of the leaders in Custom Contract manufacturing, process development and optimization as well as product commercialization.

Since its formation in 1968, Ethox Chemicals has served the industry with quality products and service. The concept of specialized service to each customer has proven successful over the years, and that is what Ethox strives to maintain. Ethox Chemicals is a privately held company with about 155 employees. It is part of the Piedmont Chemical group. We are located on a 45-acre site in Greenville, South Carolina. HENWIL CORPORATION is located in Newell PA, 50 miles south of Pittsburgh, on the banks of the Monongahela River, with barge, rail and interstate access. Henwil Corporation is a company that focuses on the use and re-use of water, formulates and manufactures a full line of products for municipal, oil/gas, boiler/cooling water and industrial process water treatment. We offer a variety of products for water clarification, foam control, scale & deposit control, odor control, solidification, and other specialty applications. J1 Technologies, incorporated in 1999, is a speciality chemical company focused on the development of formulated products and surface active agents, through application testing and research. JTM Products has been manufacturing quality industrial lubricants for more than one hundred years. Founded in 1890 as the Phoenix Oil Company, it produced the axle greases, belt dressings and lubricants that helped the Industrial Revolution run smoothly. The company was on the leading edge in the early 1900s, when it introduced the first water-soluble cutting oil for machine tools.

Jost Chemical Co., established in 1985, is a FDA Registered manufacturer of high purity inorganic specialty chemicals and minerals. Jost follows bulk pharmaceutical cGMP and has validated processes for producing USP/NF/EP grade ingredients. We manufacture over 150 products and supply the pharmaceutical, biotech, nutritional and food markets. Our products are as process intermediates in making drugs and as minerals in infant formula, nutritional supplements, toothpaste, etc.

McGean is a privately held specialty chemical company with corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, USA and operations throughout the world. The company is a leader in chemical technology for aviation maintenance, and as a supplier of specialty chemicals and batch custom manufacturing. Major markets serviced are: aviation, surface finishing, oil exploration and production, adhesives, sheet molded compounds, catalyst, personal care, glass and fiberglass. North Metal & Chemical Co. (NM&C) is a family owned and operated producer of sodium molybdate and other chemicals serving the water treatment, pigment, agriculture, metal finishing, antifreeze, lubricant and fuel additive industries worldwide.

Optima Chemical was established in 1991 from the chemical division of AFF. At that time the company made sodium tetraphenyl borate for use by the US DOE as a precipitant for radioactive Cesium waste. The contract was subsequently cancelled and as a result Optima had to reinvent itself overnight to survive. The seeds were planted for the growth of a company that prides itself on its flexibility and rising to a challenge, characteristics which survive to this day and which continue to drive the company’s continued growth. Polysciences is a subsidiary of Ott Scientific, a holding company for science and technology businesses. Custom manufactured products of large volume are developed for many domestic and international customers based on preliminary catalog materials. Ott Scientific is comprised of Polysciences, Inc., Bangs Laboratories, Inc., Astral Diagnostics, Inc., Astral Rx, Inc., Ethos Biosciences, Inc., Creative Consumer Products, Inc., Polysciences, Europe, GmbH, Polysciences Asia-Pacific Inc. and Ott Scientific India, Pvt. Ltd. The ownership of all the entities is the same. The total organization has about 250 employees.

He was in the thirties of the twentieth century when Mr. Federico Ferrara undertook the challenge of opening the doors of Monterrey Chemical Products , in order to meet the imminent need of the laboratories of the time to supply high purity acids in a reliable and safe way. Many were the challenges that would have to be overcome, but in the end it managed to provide the analytical community of the region, conveniently and reliably, with the products that had to be brought by railroad from afar with great risks and delays. Sofix, an organic synthesis specialty chemical manufacturer, was started in Chattanooga, TN, in 1990 as a joint venture between NAGASE & CO. LTD. (Tokyo), and Yamada Chemical Company (Kyoto) to manufacture color formers for thermal paper (receipts, labels, lottery tickets, etc).  In 2011, as part of a corporate reorganization, NAGASE became the 100% owner of Sofix.  Sofix is located on 23 acres in an industrial park, close to downtown Chattanooga.

Over the years, Sofix has focused on operational excellence via formal registrations, starting with ISO 9001 (quality) in 1999.  Later, Sofix added ISO 14001 (environment – 2005) and OHSAS 18001 (health & safety – 2011), and most recently the combined RC14001®:2015 (environment, health, safety, transportation & security - 2020).  

In recent years in order to diversify, Sofix has added toll and custom manufacturing services for 3rd party clients and also within the extensive NAGASE organization in the areas of acrylate synthesis, separations of resins for 3-D printing, blending, and the agricultural sector.  Sofix is able to work with clients to scale up from a 50g conceptual process, to 1L and 5L in our lab and 200L in our pilot plant.

Strem Chemicals, Inc., established in 1964, is a privately held manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals of high purity. Strem’s key products include catalysts, ligands, organometallics, metal carbonyls, CVD/ALD precursors and nanomaterials. Its products are used for research and development and commercial scale applications, especially in the pharmaceutical, microelectronics, chemicals and petrochemicals industries.
